Welcome to Oak to Jade Flowers & Farm!
Our name is rooted in two places that have shaped our family's story.
Oak represents our American roots. As the national tree of the U.S. it is a symbol of strength and enduring growth. Jade represents the years we spent living in China, where it's treasured as a symbol of beauty, virtue, and good fortune. We're forever grateful for that season abroad and how it changed the way we see family, community, and the world. Jade holds even deeper meaning for us because our two children joined our family from Taiwan, weaving Asian heritage permanently into our story.
When we returned to the U.S., we dreamed of building a life that honored both parts of that story -- a community where Asian culture is celebrated, paired with the rural life we'd always envisioned for our family. Here in Kansas City, that dream has taken root: the Asian community is growing and supported and we grow flowers and food, raise animals, and seek to glorify Jesus through this work. Every bouquet, every seed, every season is a reflection of the journey that brought us here.

By The Numbers
27 animals
What started with three chickens has grown into a lively backyard flock and a trio of rabbits. Our chickens, runner ducks, and rabbits are a big part of our homestead and a daily reminder of the joy found in caring for living things.
7 years
The number of years it took us to finally get to where we are today. We created our name many years ago and dreamed of someday sharing things we love with others...
and now it's finally here!
5 acres
Our 1940 farmhouse once sat surrounded by acres of fields. Today, it's surrounded by Kansas City's growth, but these acres remain our little retreat—a place to grow flowers, raise animals, and share a slower way of life.
